SUZUKI BURGMAN HIGHLIGHTS
The Burgman Street is a premium 125cc scooter from the fleet of Suzuki vehicles. The scooter gets an indigenous design with a large windscreen, split LED headlamps and a chunky handlebar. It comes loaded with features like fully digital instrument cluster, a multi-function key slot, under seat storage, fairly large floorboard, a bag hook under the seat, a 12V charging socket and an LED tail-lamp. Powering the scooter is the air-cooled 124cc engine with a capability to produce a max power of 8.7PS at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox. To handle the scooter on rough roads, there is a suspension assembly equipped with conventional telescopic front forks and monoschock absorbers at the rear. The Suzuki Burgman Street is equipped with 12-inch wheels of which the front gets an optional disc brake while the rear comes with drum brake as standard. The Suzuki Burgman Street is expected to be priced between Rs 60,000 and 62,000 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Once launched, it will compete against the likes of the Honda Grazia, the TVS Ntorq 125 and the Aprilia SR 125.
